Well, if anyone reads this.... for my bridesmaids... from my mother!
Hi Everyone,
The big day is about to arrive -- no, not Devon's and Bil's wedding -- the day when each of you will receive her dress.
Gia: Your dress is due to arrive in Chicago either today (Saturday) or tomorrow (Sunday). Please call Devon right away and schedule your fitting.
Katie: Your dress is due to arrive in Mesa either today or tomorrow. You know what to do.
Jen: Your dress is due to arrive in Davis on Monday. Sorry about that. Express Mail doesn't deliver to Davis on weekends. I suggest that you head over to the UCD Theater Dept. costume shop and see if someone there would like to earn some extra money altering your dress. I think the price will be more reasonable than if you go to someone in town.
Danielle: Your dress will be picked up today and overnighted to you in Davis. It will most likely arrive Monday or Tuesday. I'm volunteering Jen to steer you to the Theater Dept. at youralma mater. I'll include her phone number in the box with your dress. Thanks, Jen.
Rock: I called David's Bridal in Danvers, Mass. this morning and talked to them about their abysmal service. Mia's dress, shoes and gloves will either arrive at your door today, tomorrow or Monday, at the latest. If I were a betting woman, I'd say Monday. If I were a religious woman, I'd say a novena that everything will fit her better than OJ's gloves, but I'm not so you'll probably need to find an alterations lady. I have one here who can do the work in a few hours if needed -- worst case scenario.
We have long black gloves here in Agoura Hills for all of you ladies so just bring your dresses, some black satin dress sandals or dress shoes and your very lovely selves. I will have a hair dresser available to you the day of the wedding. Gia has volunteered to help with makeup. You might also want to consider black beaded flip flops to change into after the ceremony and reception. They're more comfortable than dress shoes for dancing during the party.
Okay now remember that your angst feeds my angst. So, let's just relax take deep breaths and exhale through our eyelids. We definitely don't want the mother-of-the-bride going MOTHER-OF-THE-BRIDAL.
I know each and every one of you will be a beautiful star in this production that is the Wedding of Devon and Bil.
Love to you all, hugs and kisses, etc., etc.,
Judy
